Van Wagner’s Beach is one of my favourite locations to shoot at for most of the year. It is such a pretty beach spot. Each session seems to be different depending on the weather. This evening in particular was a quiet, calm evening with no waves.
There’s something special about a maternity session by the water—especially on a warm summer evening. I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely family at Van Wagner’s Beach in Hamilton as they prepared to welcome their second child.
The setting was perfect. The golden hour light added a soft glow over the sand, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere. A gentle breeze came off the lake, making the evening even more enjoyable.
This family was so easygoing and full of joy. Their little one, soon to be a big sibling, enjoyed playing in the sand and spending time with mom and dad. We captured a mix of quiet moments between the parents and playful interactions as a family.
Maternity sessions like this are always a joy to photograph. The setting sun and the happiness of a growing family made this session special.
