There’s something so special about photographing a mother with her children. So often, moms are the ones behind the camera, capturing memories but rarely stepping into them. That’s why a motherhood session always feels like such a gift—a chance for a mom to be present in beautiful, heartfelt images with her little ones.
This past spring, I had the joy of photographing Janelle and her three boys at Gage Park in Hamilton. The park was the perfect setting, with its beautiful staircase adding an elegant and timeless feel to their portraits. As we wandered through the park, we found the last of the spring blossoms still in bloom, adding a dreamy softness to the final images. Photographing motherhood sessions like this one always reminds me of why I love what I do. These images will become treasured memories—a reminder of the love, the laughter, and the fleeting moments of childhood that pass all too quickly.
