Some people are golden hour fans through and through—but let me tell you, there’s something truly magical about an early morning family session.
The light is soft and dreamy in a way that’s completely different from the rich golden tones of sunset. It’s quiet. Peaceful. Cool. And there’s a kind of calm that only happens when the world is just waking up.
This session with one of my favourite families at Princess Point in Hamilton was the perfect example.
I’ve had the absolute joy of photographing these two from the very beginning—from their engagement, to their wedding, and now as they grow their beautiful family. They are truly one of the most laid-back, loving families I get to work with, and watching their story unfold over the years has been such a privilege.
Their two girls are sweet, fun, and full of personality—and mornings seem to be their happy time! They were full of giggles and ready to play, and the soft morning light gave their photos such a dreamy, gentle feel.
